Richard C. Stanchfield, CPA, MST
Rick joined ACG Associates, Inc. with a background in corporate finance and accounting. A 1978 graduate of Central Connecticut State University, Rick received a BS degree in accounting.
In 1987, he was awarded a Master’s of Science in Taxation from the University of Hartford. Rick was elected President of ACG Associates, Inc. in 1994.
Prior to joining the company, he held positions with two Hartford-area firms, the accounting firm of Blum Shapiro & Co., P.C. of West Hartford and an Avon-based computer services company where he served as Vice President, Administration and Treasurer. In this position he had direct responsibility for all accounting, finance and tax related matters for the $10 million service corporation. In addition, he managed the technical and administrative matters pertaining to the Company’s employee benefit programs which included a 401(k) Plan and a Pension Plan.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Connecticut Chapter of the National Institute of Pension Administrators.
Thomas H. Cole, EA, MSPA
Tom became Vice President of Actuarial Services in 2012 when ACG Associates, Inc. and Charter Oak Pension Group, LLC merged. A 1981 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Tom received a BS degree in Mathematics – Actuarial Science.
Tom began working in the pension field in 1983 and became an Enrolled Actuary in 1989. In 2000, Tom co-founded Charter Oak Pension Group, LLC to provide actuarial and administrative services to small and medium sized entities.
He is a current member of the American Society for Pension Professionals and Actuaries, and a former member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
